Bathrooms

Sorry there was no post yesterday but I was sulking. A pattern I was trying to screen print went horribly wrong so I threw my squeegee out of the pram. However I will keep persevering because I think it will look great once I iron out a few of the kinks. I guess thats what they call ‘learning’. : )

Anyway I hope everyone has fun things planned for the weekend. D and I are off to a Country themed party. My country is Sri Lanka and since I am not that into dress up parties I think I will just stick Dilmah tea bags on my outfit. Lame I know but dress up parties are lame unless you are under the age of ten. Geez I guess I am still angry from yesterday.

Here are some soothing pics from Sara Sjogren’s portfolio to help keep me calm.

(I so want a cool orange storage box for my loo roll now!)

Perfect colour combo.

Still digging grey sofas paired with tan leather.

Pics from here.

Sharon’s NY pad is droolicious. Now I don’t use that word ever but that is exactly how I feel about this apartment. The walls and cabinetry are painted in the most perfect grey I have ever seen! The bathroom tiles are so sparkly and glamorous. And don’t get me started about the exposed brickwork and high ceilings. O Perfect Apartment, I would give up my dream of a garden for you!

Thanks AT for another wonderful house tour.

Thanks to the wonderful Elaine for Jaboopee and her fabulous house tour I discovered that House and Home have a new website.

Its full of local yumminess! Lots of house tours and makeovers and a sneak peek at the latest issue. Check it out here.

Pics of Elaine’s living room and master bedroom.

Eimear and Marty’s colourful living and dining room.

And Eva’s bathroom makeover

Its Friday! D and I are heading down to Killarney for a few days so I am hoping the sun will join us. I might even go for a dip in the ocean.

As I am suppose to be packing right now I only have a mixed bag of images. Enjoy and see you all next week!

Lori over at Automatism has just posted the most beautiful bathroom ever! I just had to find out more so I clicked through to the original source and found more pics of Cisco’s stunning house. Wood is definitely going to feature in my dream home.

Just love the black frames on the windows, the warm hue of the wood, the separte bath and shower, the double sinks.

The Kitchen – perfection!

Cisco feels you should fill the house with family and friends, not stuff. I totally agree.

Look at those window frames, and the light coming in, and the pendant light.

As promised here are the shots D took while I was looking around Merci. He asked permission and they said no problem as long as it was for non commercial purposes. Which it is unless they want to pay D to put these shots on their website as they are amazing! and to my surprise they have no shots of the lovely products they sell on their website. So…….. 😉

I love this shot above. Would you believe that is the front counter?

It’s my last day. 😦 I am very sad to leave Paris. Some lovely pics coming up soon once I go through the photos on my camera. I managed a visit to the wonderful shop Merci. I got a little over excited and only left with some tape and a stamp? But D got some lovely shots of the store while I drooled over everything. Coming soon. Here is the shot I took on my phone.

I like the idea of taking a long luxurious bath but always feel a little claustrophobic when I do. Its more to do with the heat of the water, I find it hard to breathe. Then there is little to do except look at the tiles or the ceiling. I know you’re suppose to relax but I just get all hot and bothered and bored. Is that weird? Anyway I have come up with a solution. I need a bathroom and view like this.

I would be equally ok with this shower
