Katie from Paperfashion is certainly not afraid of using bright colours in her home. She is also very resourceful – see the pink pattern in the large frame? Its a Florence Broadhurst pattern featured on Kate Spade’s tissue paper! It is one of my favourite patterns.

We have an area in our living room where a bench would work well and after seeing Dabito’s very stylish bench I think I have no choice now. And I love the art wall above the bench. Perfection!

Hi All – I am sorry for not posting for the past week. My routine is all over the place at the moment. Well that will all change next week when I start my new job! Eek! And D starts his new new job next week too.

So once the money starts rolling in we can finally start decorating our new gaff. Yippee!

Today I decided to start a mood board for the living room. Its still a work in progress but liking it so far.

Hi All,

Well finally we are connected to the wonderful world-wide web again! It has been tough but we survived.

So now I can get back to reading all the amazing blogs out there and I am sure discovering some new ones. Of course this is all in the name of research for our new apartment.

We have several decorating dilemmas to tackle in our new home. First its a rental and the owners don’t appear to be open to any changes. So we are stuck with several fixtures. Vertical blinds! Soft pink walls in every room! and dated light fixtures!

But it has great potential as well as many pluses. Big windows that let a lot of wonderful light in, two big balconies, spacious rooms and we are near the harbour.

So here are some ideas to deal with the living room – 1. white furniture 2. Big bold art to stop it from looking too girly 3. bring in some bold colour

We keep changing our plans on a daily basis now. Melbourne or Sydney? Sydney or Melbourne? or bum around from one relative to the next until they get sick of us. I wish I could make a decision so we can finally start searching for our new home.

My mum has kindly donated her old sofa which is in fantastic condition. I like the shape but just not sure about the fabric.

I love the idea of a soft grey velvet sofa ( like below) with some hot pink cushions!

(But this could all change tomorrow.)

Today I am diggin this sexy red mirror from IKEA. Its perfect for the bedroom, as shown in the latest IKEA catalogue, or in an entryway.

Oh and I will take the Fillsta Pendant Lamp too!

This lady can do no wrong. Every room I have seen of AB’s house is pure perfection. Her divine bedroom is in my top ten bedrooms list and you must check out the surprise bedroom makeover she did for her daughter.

Happy Friday everyone! The weekend is finally here and I am so looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow morning.

Today I am mostly liking this drinks area –
