Lighting

Loving the vibrant and dark colours in this painting and love the purple rug and… the bedlinen and the bedside table / stool and finally that lamp. Move over monkey.

Shopping on Etsy can be tough as there are so many items to wade thru before you find items you like but when you do its amazing. Here is my latest list of favourites. Click here if you want a close look.

The days seem to be getting away from me lately. I think it might have something to do with my new sewing machine. Over the weekend I made this cushion cover using our new pattern – Wobbly drop (I really need to come up with a better name). The ink we used is the most stunning grey and almost looks silver in certain light.

I am so in love with this new cushion that I had to decorate a whole room around it using furniture from Coco Republic and a painting from A Little Painter.

The three rooms below are my favourites from Sanna Lindberg’s portfolio.

Each have a slightly different style but all have one thing in common. They are stunning!

First up is this gorgeous dining room with an equally lovely living room in the background.

Second on the list is this very cosy bedroom. I want that headboard.

Finally is this sleek office. Oh to have that much space dedicated to a home office.

Thanks to Solid Frog for the introduction.

I spotted this light fixture on a Design Sponge curtain tutorial and quickly clicked on the comments section to see if anyone else wanted to know where it was from. Sure enough someone else was lusting after the light fixture and wanted to know where they could find one.

West Elm is the place.

Sometimes I get a little jealous of you guys in the states!

I am trying to convince our landlord to let us paint the pink walls of our apartment white. He doesn’t seem that enthusiastic as the reason every wall is pink was because he let the last tenant decide the colour!! He hates the colour but does not want to spend money on the apartment and is afraid to let us paint it ourselves. The apartment was vacant for 8 months before we moved in and they lost 16K in income which was probably due, in part, to the pink walls. Arrgghh!!!!!! I wish we had enough money to buy our own place but until then at least we have the internet to dream.

Office envy –
