Outdoors/ garden furniture

Well its Friday and its time to relax. We are off to my dad’s to celebrate his birthday.  I am looking forward to a nice dinner then sitting around the fire pit. Hopefully my dad does not get too sad about getting older and start questioning the meaning of life. Fire has that affect on some people especially when drink is involved.

Pic from here.

I made a little trip to IKEA today to pick up a couple of things and spotted these lovely outdoor chairs. Perfect for relaxing in and sipping Mojitos on a sunny afternoon.
Have a lovely weekend and see you next week. X

I am looking forward to the weekend. The weather is warming up here so its time to spruce up the outdoor area and clean the barbie.

Wishing you all a relaxing and enjoyable weekend. See you Monday.

I suspect we will be receiving loads of visitors when we make our big move to Melbourne. I would love to rent a five bedroom house but I think our budget will put a stop to that dream. Maybe I could find a cheap cabin like below and set it up in the garden??

Strange as this sounds all the warm weather of late makes me more homesick than when it rains all the time. I know, I’m weird!

My dream life would be to live half my time in Australia on the coast and the other on the South/Southwest coast of Ireland (in a Huf Haus).

Rachel’s Bryon bay home would fit most of my requirements for my Australian home. The location is perfect and I love indoor / outdoor living although the outdoor bath would take awhile to get use to.

Sorry for the late post but the weather was too amazing to be inside on the web. Yesterday D and I took full advantage of the weather and headed to Glendalough in Wicklow for a picnic. We had a few hiccups on the way – D accidentally split orange drink over my white pants before we set off and then we got lost twice on the way but it was so worth it.

Happy Friday everyone! I love how on a sunny day in Ireland you feel like its the start of your holidays, especially on a  Friday. They are so far and few between here. So to celebrate I am having a party in my garden. Well I don’t really have a garden but when I do I want a spread like this from Eat Drink Chic’s wedding.

We were blessed, as they say in Ireland, with the weather over the long weekend. I tried to get things organised for the first of my visiting rellies, who arrive tomorrow, but I just couldn’t stay indoors long enough. Besides I have a few more days before my mum arrives which is the person I am really tidying up for.

So yesterday I managed to make it to the Bloom festival 2 hours before it closed. And whizzed around before running back to pick up some bargain flowering plants.

Here is my favourite garden. This garden has everything I like  – surrounded by greenery, water and a place to lay about reading or snoozing. More decking would be nice so I could entertain when I am not snoozing.. I mean reading.

But I would much rather be here – in Stephens Green in town.
