I would be happy just to stay in the lobby of this hotel.
Nobis Hotel in Sweden designed by Claesson Koivisto Rune.
I would love love love to own a Kate Tucker painting.
Design Files are running a competition to win one of her paintings and I am sending positive messages out to the universe that I will be the winner.
Kate is a Melbourne based artist and you have probably seen her work on the Design Files before now but her work is so beautiful it deserves to be all over the internet.
Its was so cold today that they were iceskating on Bondi beach today. 🙂

I am loving this entry in this rather delicious apartment. I think an entry way is a nice way to ease into a home rather than bursting into the living areas as soon as you walk thru the door.
Pic from here.
How cosy does this room look? This would be the perfect place to spend the day reading a good book. Minus the gun above the door of course.

Yay for Friday!
I tried a new colour combo today – Blue on Hot Pink. Way back when I wanted to try this colour combo but never did. I think it works.
Then I spent some time with my sewing machine but now its knock off time. Have a good weekend people they only come around once a week.
Feeling much better today, I think I just had the 24 hour man flu.
So…. anyway kitchen splash backs, what are they all about? Well I can tell you white subway tiles are not your only option (even though I still like white subway tiles).
Here are two kitchens from the TV reno show The Block.
The brothers went with a mirrored splash back and a wooden ceiling. I like the look of a mirrored splash back but not sure I would happy about the maintenance or catching glimpses of myself while tucking into the leftovers.
Dale and Sophie went with a metal splash back and an exposed brick wall above the cabinets. A killer combo in my opinion.
