Hi All, I am absolutely wrecked after the weekend and I did nothing! I had great plans to buy a blank canvas and whip up a painting for the bedroom. Ha – that makes it sound like I can paint. Then I was going to make cushion covers for the armchairs. In reality I drank too much wine on Friday night, spent most of Saturday on the sofa feeling sorry for myself only making it outside when the hunger got too much. Then Sunday I just mooched around the apartment starting several tasks and completing none. So why am I so tired? Anyway here is where my Friday night partner in crime is now residing for two weeks. Although she will be working on the house during her holiday I am still very jealous.
This place is a holiday rental and I will pass on the details when I get more shots of the interior.
Originally we had planned a walking tour of The Dingle Way for my dads visit but it was not to be. First up my back injury was still on the mend. Then the volcano ash delayed my dads flight. However they eventually landed in Ireland three days later. We decided to still tackle part of the walk but the night before heading down to Dingle my dad picked up a nasty stomach bug. It took two days before he felt better but then my little brother caught the bug! We gave it another day before giving up on the idea of Dingle. But all was not lost as we decided on a two day trip to Carlingford before they had to head back to Australia. Carlingford is only about an hours drive from Dublin and has everything you need in a short trip away. Mountains to climb, water for staring at or splashing in, medieval castles, great pubs and excellent restaurants! Here are some pics I took and edited on my iPhone. I downloaded a fantastic app for editing. And I am writing this post on my iPhone! IPhones are the business!

It’s my last day. I am very sad to leave Paris. Some lovely pics coming up soon once I go through the photos on my camera. I managed a visit to the wonderful shop Merci. I got a little over excited and only left with some tape and a stamp? But D got some lovely shots of the store while I drooled over everything. Coming soon. Here is the shot I took on my phone.
Here is where I have been eating my breakfast for the past few mornings.
I am having such a great time so far in Paris. Such a wonderful city and the weather has been fantastic. I will post some pics of the stunning apartment soon but for today I have some photos of the flea market I went to this morning in Porte de Vanves.
The market is open each Saturday and Sunday of the year, holidays included, whatever the weather, with over 380 merchants.
Pieces of furniture and objects of the 18th and 19th centuries, of 1900 and Art Déco, of the Fifties and Seventies ; furniture of garden, ironwork and tools ; lighting ; arts of the table ; glassmaking and silverware ; old clothing and textiles; old jewellery ; cameras, gramophones and radios ; books and old papers ; currencies, medals and militaria ; paintings, drawings and engravings ; photographs and postcards ; curiosities, toys and popular art ; religious objects ; eastern arts ; african arts, etc.
Hi All, Sorry for being absent but I am on some very strong pain killers as I hurt my back over Easter. However I am on the mend so all is good. Hopefully I will be posting some pics from Paris as I am heading off tomorrow, fingers crossed.

This looks like the perfect place to gather family or friends for a week stay!
This lucky girl recently spent a weekend there with friends.
Locherlour Mill has been lovingly restored and converted into a private residence. The Mill is used as the principle private residence of the owner of Locherlour Estates, but when the owner is not living at the Mill, it is available to rent as a holiday home for family gr oups for a maximum number of 140 days a year.
Prices range from £2,950 – £4,500 for a weekly stay at the Mill, they also offer short breaks and weekend stays.
Very early tomorrow morning myself and d will be heading over to the west coast for a wedding. I am so excited as we will be staying in Roundstone, Connemarra. Roundstone is out of this world stunning. Hopefully we will get a chance to do some exploring.

OK technically this should be a food post since it is Friday. Well El Pimpi does serve great tapas according to all the reviews online but we kinda, sort of, drank wine for four hours and forgot to order food. Silly of us but the place was buzzing and we got distracted by all the excitment. So if you are ever in Malaga city you have to visit this place. They specialise in sweet wines but there is plenty of choice if you are not into that.
