Design By Kico

My feet are so tired from standing all day printing some new tote bags but I can still do the can can.

I have had this design for awhile however I still like the message. What do you think?

It will be in the shop soon.

I just wanted to say thank you for all the well wishes and visits to our little stall on Saturday!!

We had a great day despite having to cut it short as a thunderstorm rolled in around 2pm.

It was so nice to talk to people about our designs and we received some really lovely comments.

Also we even sold a few items which is always a good sign we are on the right track.

We will be returning next Saturday so if you are about please pop by.

This past week has been very busy as we prepare for our first market! It is all very new territory so fingers crossed we are ready by Saturday. I wanted a banner for the stall but didn’t want to pay loads of money for one. So I spotted a cheap frame ($9.99) in the mothership (aka IKEA) and then had our logo printed in Officeworks ($15.00) and TA DA!! we have a banner that looks semi professional.

We will be at Balmain Markets at St Andrew Church this Saturday 11 february from 8.30am to 4pm.

If you are in the area we would love to see you.

On the weekend we finally decided on our logo. We wanted to have a stamp made up and remembered there was a guy at Paddington Markets who carves designs into soapstone. Its not exact but I like the handmade feel of it.

Well today was a great day. I picked up the samples for our first Design By KiCo pattern.

I was so nervous that it would not turn out but I think it will look stunning as a cushion cover or curtains or even a skirt.

The fabric is a beautiful linen and cotton blend and screenprinted using water based inks.

Here is a sneak peek at the samples.
