Wall coverings

Thanks to the wonderful Elaine for Jaboopee and her fabulous house tour I discovered that House and Home have a new website.

Its full of local yumminess! Lots of house tours and makeovers and a sneak peek at the latest issue. Check it out here.

Pics of Elaine’s living room and master bedroom.

Eimear and Marty’s colourful living and dining room.

And Eva’s bathroom makeover

Black paint really is amazing. You can make a room go from bland to … hmmm what rhythms with bland and means beautiful?

Umm… damn! I should have thought this through. Anyway here are some pretty pictures.

And this bedroom makeover makes me want to run out and buy some black paint. (from Diversion Project)

I know Gary Spain’s beautiful interiors have already done the rounds but I just can’t stop drooling over them. I love the stripes,  the vibrant pops of colours,  the textiles, the art, the retro wallpaper and the way he mixes styles with absolute ease!

Sorry for the delay but here are the pictures of the lovely Paris apartment we rented for five glorious days. The apartment is located in District 15 near the Convention metro station and is just a 20 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower. The apartment sleeps six with two double rooms and one twin. If you want the contact details of the owner just drop me an email. For some reason I forgot to take a picture of the kitchen but trust me it is lovely and has everything you need.

No? Phew. I have an opportunity through my day job to upgrade to an iphone without cutting off an arm to pay for it. So I was looking for a cover and found this lovely copper one that reminds me of my favourite Tom Dixon lamp shade.

Oh and I still love those tiles. In fact this whole kitchen is just perfection! My iphone and I could be very happy working from here.

Holly over at Decor8 blogged about this design studio yesterday. I was surprised to learn they are from just down the road. Superfolk is an independent design studio based in Dublin. The studio was established in 2008 and is led by Irish designer Gearóid Muldowney. It seems some of the furniture was inspired by the small apartments in Dublin. I can certainly relate to that.

And they design handprinted wallpaper as well.
