I just love colour on the inside of this frame.
I have the exact same mirror except in a full length version.
The only problem now is which colour to go with?

Do you have loads of spare potatoes left over since starting that low carb diet? Well here is another DIY painting idea using potatoes.
I love this DIY from Jordan from Oh Happy Day. She is a very talented DIYer and her blog is amazing.
Also if you like Damien Hirst’s dot paintings then you will like this -
Here is what I did Sunday afternoon. I finally finished that DIY Pyramid Painting project I posted about back March. And it now lives on our little table near the front door.
I really want to create some art for our new apartment and I think this simple DIY painting might just be the winner.

Recently my skin had a nasty reaction to a new conditioner.
Its scary when you look into the crap they put into your shampoo and conditioner.
So when looking for a natural alternative I discovered castile soap.
Now my hair is looking a little crazy right now after two days of using castile liquid soap but I am still working out the right combination.
But if it doesn’t work out as a shampoo I can use it as a facial wash or a bodywash or as a floor cleaner or as a laundry detergent.
Well I finally finished the first armchair cushion cover. It’s quite clear I am no upholsterer and my sewing machine has decided to confirm this by blowing up. I have a new-found respect for upholstery and will pay someone else to do mine in the future. Life is just too short people.
The fabric is Sofia from Ikea.
I love this table setting. Simple.
I was just saying the other day how I need to brush up on my geography and today I find this!
This would definitely test your geography knowledge.
I am in the process of making covers for my armchair cushions and let me tell you I am not enjoying it one bit!
For some reason I have choosen a fabric that requires extra effort to line up due to the pattern. Then to make matters worse I decided to go with piping!
Now I spent several hours last night cutting, aligning, swearing, stitching, un-stitching, re-cutting and its no where near finished! And I ran out of piping so I can’t finish it until I get some more! And I don’t have a zipper foot for my sewing machine as it is a cheap brand from Littlewoods!
Well I think the running out of piping might just be a blessing in disguise as I think (time will tell) I found an easier way thanks to the Easy Peasy DIY piping tut on the Little Snoring blog.
Now if you are crazy enough here is a tutorial for covering a whole sofa. I am following part of it for the cushions (except the piping bit).
