I am no upholsterer
Well I finally finished the first armchair cushion cover. It’s quite clear I am no upholsterer and my sewing machine has decided to confirm this by blowing up. I have a new-found respect for upholstery and will pay someone else to do mine in the future. Life is just too short people.
The fabric is Sofia from Ikea.
Upholstery- it’s an enormous amount of work so you have to love doing it to make it worthwhile!

Oh this is really clever though, I have a lovely leather armchair and only the seat cushion looks old. I had no idea of how to restore it but i might steal your idea and get it reupholstered in a completely different material. cool!
